“Coleman’s Question” is a vehicle we use to indulge our love of South American styles and rhythms, but with our own flavors. In true Spherical Agenda fashion, this piece is infused with funk, shifting phrase lengths, and a few twisty-yet-melodic interjections for good measure. The result is a song that is both danceable and pleasantly unpredictable - just the way we like it. While we were crafting the song in the studio, it became incredibly apparent that having our good friend and incredible drummer/
percussionist Walfredo Reyes Jr (who’s credits include Chicago, Santana, Steve Winwood, and Frank Gambale, to name a few) would really polish the track in ways that we wouldn’t have imagined. His impeccably tasteful percussion grooves, accents, and flourishes really helped make the song in to a complete package.
